![]() My breakup settings are also a bit low, 50% for couples and 20% for spouses, where 75% and 50% would be more realistic. Animals no longer age up and die when the ‘Animal Aging’ option is turned off in Game Settings. would eradicate all the chances of getting pregnant for a sim of every age. Allow affairs is at 10%, I had it at 1% but in the spirit of trying to make my game more realistic through MCCC I upped it a bit, even though it *should* be 15-20% for realism. The Sims 4 is marked by many updates and patches, often occurring more than. I have the "use same age group" setting enabled for marriage just because every young adult was out marrying elders, and disabled for pregnancy so that married sims can still get pregnant together. I set auto-marry for random pregnancies at 25%, and I changed the pregnancy duration to match my lifespan settings more closely. In order to use that setting, you need to either save outfits yourself or download an mcdresser.cfg file. I have it on for toddlers, children, and teens - once they age up to teens, I dont want their outfits to change. I set it to flag and use a gender preference for both marriage and pregnancy and to only allow woohoo partners to become pregnant, but unfortunately I don't think there's a corresponding setting for marriage only between woohoo partners or SOs. It also applies to Sims when they age up, but you can disable it for certain ages. I might up the pregnancy percentages a bit, but I'm in a testing generation to see if all of their college classmates and roommates will be game generated townies or if I've managed to reach population replacement settings yet, a 2% birthrate should in theory do that but who knows. I have "marriage percent" set at 1%, 6%, 8%, and 10% for teens, young adults, adults, and elders respectively and "pregnancy percent" set at 1%, 2%, and 3% for teens, young adults, and adults respectively. I have the settings "use traits for marriage" and "use traits for pregnancy" enabled which just makes sims with certain traits more or less likely to get married or pregnant. I had a huge marriage and baby boom at first, and then let it dip too much but I'd rather have some extra townies until I figure it out than too many homeless sims! I think the way that the population grows is pretty tied in with your lifespan settings and how often you have MCCC run checks, my lifespan settings are based on roughly two sim days equaling an irl year so I have MCCC run checks three times a week (about every two days or "year") for both marriage and pregnancy on alternating days. If they do have aging off or have been set as immortal via flags, you can clear those flags with MCCC if you want them to age and eventually die. ![]() ![]() You can also see this if you have the SimsInfo mod. I usually get bored after a couple of generations but finally gave NSB a chance and actually playing through so many generations is helping me get my MCCC settings right. Since you use MCCC, take a look at them to see if aging and death is disabled by checking to see if they have any flags on them. Sorry to write this novel on a two week old post, but when I saw this post I just had to save it until I had the energy for a more in depth answer! I'm still tweaking my settings to see how well they're working, but it feels like I'm finally getting closer to some kind of realism.
